Roamwater Elope was founded in part because elopements are, to put it simply, AMAZING! Elopements offer the opportunity to really slow down, connect, and have fun as a couple. We also wanted to offer a private experience away from the crowds that you'll often encounter at other locations. Many of the ceremony and photo spots that we visit are only accessible by boat, and the islands that we choose are often small enough that you are pretty much guaranteed to have them all to yourself!Learn More
Lake Jocassee, SC has crystal clear waters and is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is one of our most popular destinations with cool breezes, gorgeous mountain backdrops, and hidden waterfalls. It's a short drive from Greenville, SC and is within two hours of Asheville, NC. Having been featured in National Geographic's "50 of the World's Last Great Places-Destinations of a Lifetime," it's easy to get swept away by it's beauty.
Clarks Hill Lake, located outside of Evans, GA, is a wonderland of undeveloped shoreline, trees that pop up out of the water, and unspoiled natural beauty. It is not too far from larger cities including Augusta, GA, Columbia, SC and Greenville, SC, and is one of the best spots for breathtaking sunsets and unique outcroppings. Outside of the larger cities, Evans, GA has a small town feel but still boasts fine dining, local coffee shops, and upscale lodging.

As the captain, Matt is the one who makes sure that everything goes well when getting on and off of the boat, cruising the water, and staying on course. He can also give you some great tips for fly fishing should that be a part of your trip itinerary!
